Home Inspections

Home inspections are important to not only examine the overall condition of the home but can also help you identify problems that may arise in the future. A home inspection is not a pass or fail inspection. A home inspection is important because it gives you the information to make an informed decision. Its much easier to decide on how to proceed with the purchase of your home when you have enough information to create a plan.

We offer thorough home inspections in the following areas: Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, Howard County and Prince George’s County. We go through every nook and cranny of the home and give guidance on damage and the potential need for repairs. Our home inspectors have years of experience and are some of the most qualified professionals in the area. No matter if you’re having a new or old home inspected, our highly-trained professionals can provide you with an extensive report of the home.

We specialize in Baltimore City Row homes. Our inspectors have spent years in the trade business and many have renovated homes throughout the Baltimore Metro Area.

Some of the most important elements to have inspected on a home are the interior functions such as the following:

The Roof

This is to check for any leaks, any weak spots, shingles that were poorly placed, a roof that’s falling apart and some potential defects that might cause the roof to collapse. Many people purchase homes that require a new roof in just a few short years and these can be a rather expensive purchase.

Electrical

We will inspect all visible areas of the electrical system and give guidance on repairs and potential safety hazards. We will inspect service entry cables, inspect for aluminum wiring, and knob and tube wiring.

Plumbing

We will inspect the plumbing systems and give guidance of leaks, damage, aged piping, and other potential concerns that may arise from faulty plumbing.

HVAC

We will check the heating and air conditioning systems, vents, radiators, duct, air handlers, condensers, pumps, boiler inspections, furnace inspections, and all other components of the HVAC systems.

Interior

One of the items that home inspections check for is major interior damage. The interior of the home is where you will be spending the majority of your time. We will give guidance on any evident structural deficiencies, severely damaged walls, windows, doors, brick work, trim, chipping paint, basement structure, and a wide array of other household components.

Extrerior

We will visually inspect the exterior of the home. We will check the siding, foundation, chimney, windows, doors, porches and decks, trim, drainage, walkways and driveways, carports and garages, gutters, and many other exterior components.

Please note that all of our home inspections are done based on the Maryland state standards of practice.
